Hi everyone,
I just received a new P2S and I’m seeing a repeatable issue during Flow Dynamics Calibration. When the printer goes to purge, the nozzle stops about 5 mm to the left of the purge hole, so it extrudes on the metal instead of into the hole. The material builds up there, leaves a “poop” on the metal, and the nozzle gets covered in a big blob. Is there a way to re-calibrate or re-align the purge position for Flow Dynamics Calibration on the P2S?

I also experienced that exact same issue, and honestly, I initially wondered if it was designed that way intentionally.
Yes, unfortunately, a beginner’s approach is often that simple.
Not familiar with the P2S but sometimes when users report a nozzle dumping melted filament in the wrong place it’s because the nozzle hit something and got bent some. A quick look to make sure the nozzle is plumb and vertical can answer.
This may not be that especially with others mentioning it too but something to be aware of. The nozzles can get bent and not put filament where the print head thinks it is.
If you encounter an alignment issue for the nozzle to the chute, please check the following wiki, to re-calibrate the position:
