Nozzle raking across model surface when it goes to prime tower

I’ve noticed on a number of occasions that when the extruder runs over to the prime tower, usually when it’s just printing a single color over and over for a later color change, I can hear it raking across the surface of the model making a noise as it hits each part it encounters.

This is not a good thing for long-term bed adhesion to just whack a bunch of pieces. Shouldn’t it be lifting up before making such a run?

EDIT: I have a short video of it doing one of these, but no idea how to post it here.

Don’t mean to highjack your post but I’m experiencing that same issue and would like to know the cause and solution as well

I’ve been told that under the Others tab, unchecking the final entry “Reduce infill retraction” checkbox will fix this.

th3tick is correct. that setting change will fix this issue 100% as long as the screws behind the heater block are tight.
