Nozzle Started Scraping Prints

Hi Everyone,

Started having trouble with larger prints. The nozzle started scraping prints, especially infill, and I can’t understand why. This happens only at about 70%-80% of the prints, no issues with the first layer or during printing, but as soon as it hits’ 80% mark, it starts scraping.

Things I’ve attempted that made things a bit better, but scraping persists:

  • Washed the textured PEI plate
  • Lowered speed
  • Raised nozzle temp
  • Recalibrated flow rate and dynamics
  • Enabled Z Hop and set it to Normal
  • Changed infill type to gyroid

Settings above helped prevent scraping at a much earlier stage, but now, no matter what I do, it starts scraping prints as soon as it hits 80% done.

Thanks in advance for any help/guidance!!

Try running a full bed leveling calibration and check that you aren’t accidentally using a different size nozzle than the one on the original profile

Thanks @Mprints really appreciate the help!

After multiple tests, calibrations, and settings tweaks, I found out the culprit is…..the filament lol. Sunlu Silver Silk PLA+ just refuses to work with me, no matter what I do. Can anyone recommend other brands of Silver PLA?
