Nozzle wiper problem

Hi all

The plastic thread where you put in the bolt for the nozel wiper has stripped.

I have bolts that fit, longer ones of the same guage even, but they end up just poking through and don’t hold the wiper.

I can’t get my fingers down into the waste shoot to put a nut on the end, it’s just too fiddly for my fingers.

I tried using CA glue to just glue it in place, with a view to breaking the bond when I need to replace the noxel next. Didn’t hold.

At present, I’m printing without the wiper, but I do a lot of multi-colour printing, so I really want it back if I can.

Does anyone have any idea how I might fix this?

Thanks

You can always try a different design that uses different mounting screws like this one.

I have not tried it but it is an option.

Thanks!

I was just thinking of down inside the chute, hadn’t even spotted there were screw above.

This should do the job nicely.

Here is what I use:

BIQU Panda Nozzle Brush + 4Pcs Silicone Brush Kit, Wiper for Bambu-Lab P1S/P1P/X1C/X1E 3D Printers

Thanks but that won’t work as it attaches the same way as the original, with the screw, and that’s what I’ve had the problem with.

the Panda Nozzle Brush clips on with a small spring loaded ball, not a screw.
