Hello Bambu Lab Community
I stumbled over a very frustrating bug, as it seems. Or I don’t see my mistake at all.
For quite some time now, it is possible to use materials on .obj models to assign filaments according to the textures applied.
This is a groundbreaking feature for me. Great job!
But it stopped working out of nowhere.
I follow up with screenshots that support my case.
1. The working file, 1:1 same group structure from skp, obj file, same material, everything is exactly the same.
2. As you see, the obj file has the textures applied. Pic 1 is shown like this as well, 1:1
3. I import the obj file…
4. …apply the correct filaments which are loaded and worked 5 mins before on picture 1
5. …yea, scaling stuff, don’t ask, 1:1 like with picture 1
6. Bambu slicer ignoring everything i did, creating random non existing TPU filament in my AMS Lite, and applying at least the green color right, but on everything?!
I couldn’t fix it with anything I did. The old obj file (pic 1) still imports fine, but it is modeled in the exact same way:
Sketchup:
GROUP
-GROUP(green volume)
-GROUP(blue volume
-GROUP(green frames)
And that’s it.
I wish I could add my project files, but it’s work related and that is not possible. I don’t have the time right now to copy some parts and hope that the same bug is replicable, sorry.
I could not find this problem using the search engine here. If I oversaw something, I’d be happy if you just link me further.
Thanks in advance and have a great day
P
