Odd artifacts on A1 video on Handy

Just updated my A1 today and was checking to see how the print I am running was looking.

Noticed this very bizzare artifact on the screen. There is nothing red in the surrounding area that could be casting a reflection and the artifact is static on the screen.

Anyone else having similar issues.

Yep, noticed the same thing yesterday and today.
Seems to be some sort of colour shift bug with the live feed on the Handy App (I’m using a Google Pixel 6)

The same issue does not appear on the live feed when viewing via Bambu Studio on my PC.

This is often the lens requiring a clean.

Some filament debris (dust you cannot see) contamination can get on the lens and cause strange optical issues.

just looks like basic compression artifacts.

the camera on the A1 series is more of a novelty than anything useful. i would argue its worse than useless at times and if your really want to watch your prints you should just get an old phone or tablet or webcam or a doorbell camera or just… literally anyting else. i honestly don’t know why they bothered.

the lens is also clear plastic and its close to a warm thing that gives off vapours/oils/off-gasses so it could also be the lens getting grunged up or possibly even deteriorating over time since clear plastic typically goes weird after a while.

Not the case here, I can run Bambu Handy and Bambu Studio side by side at the same time with the live video feed and the Studio feed is perfect whilst the Handy feed is corrupt.

I also have the same issue with Handy 3.5.0 and my A1 printer with the live view.
Bambu Studio live view is perfect.

These artifacts appear only on the A1, not on my X1C which is in the same network like the A1. Also, the problem is not related to a specific Android version as it happens on three different Android smartphones (Android 15, Android 12 and Android 8).

Downgrading Bambu Handy to version 3.4.2 fixes the problem.

@BambuLab please fix this issue as it is quite annoying. Thank you.

Problem on my side too.
I think @SupportAssistant
Manage the problem in a future handy update

Could you and @Frontier share more details about the artifacts?

A screenshot can also help to better understand how to reproduce this issue.

Thanks

My filaments and green colors (like artifacts). On the other hand, the pieces are gray in the photos.
So what should be green

Thank you for sharing. I have informed our team and they confirmed the fix should be coming in the next version (a couple of days away).

@SupportAssistant Here are the screenshots you’ve requested.
The first two are from Bambu Handy 3.5.0 (normal and maximized liveview) and the third one is from Bambu Studio (latest version)
