OK I bought 2 of the AMS HT units for my PA stuff. It is nice to dry while printing. And I know you are not supposed to use PA in HT on auto feed. So I put my PA in the HT and ran it out of the bypass port no issues ,but when I close the lid the spool gets hard to roll and this wonderful extruder will not pull ANYTHING that as any resistance so how are you folks doing it?
Are you using Bambu spools or another brand? If you’re not using Bambu and the spools you’re using are too big, they’re going to rub on the lid and not feed smoothly. There is very little clearance between the spool and the lid; that is by design.
I feed PA through my HT, even PA6-CF. As long as the filament doesn’t break on you, you’re fine. I’ve never had it break. Bambu tends to be ultra conservative in their recommendations.
