My A1 is sitting on a counter that’s too narrow for most filament feed arrangements and I don’t like the idea of having a spool holder on the machine for fear that it might sway and adversely affect the print. So I wanted to fit it to the wall. I modified the feeder from the stock system, printed up an adapter with magnets. The idea was to be able to move the thing around before committing to a permanent wall attachment. So now-- the magnets are in the mount for no particular reason. Works for me.
