Ongoing First Layer Issues with PETG HF on Second A1 mini

Hello,
I’m Michael, and I could really use some help.

My second A1 mini is having serious issues printing with Bambulab PETG HF – I just can’t get a consistent, good first layer.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:
• 4 different original Bambulab Textured PEI plates
• Brand new 0.4 mm hardened steel nozzle
• New hotend assembly
• New heatbed
• New extruder unit and toolhead block
• Dozens of calibrations (including manual bed tramming)
• Verified and adjusted belt tension on both X and Y axes
• Filament calibration (seemed to improve things slightly)

Of course, the filament has been properly dried before printing.

What’s odd: my other A1 mini prints this filament just fine – both with the default profile and a tweaked one. So the issue clearly lies with this specific printer.

When I print PLA, everything works normally – perfect first layers.

Bambulab support says:

“The first layer looks good and is within the standard range.”
…after I sent them the photos below.
However, we’ve been in contact for over 12 weeks, and there’s still no solution.

Additional note:

In the attached photos, the infill orientation was rotated in 45° increments.
This was done intentionally to see if the issue correlates with a specific axis – which might help identify whether the problem is related to the X or Y motion system.

At this point, I’m honestly very frustrated and unsure what else to try.

Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.

im having a the same issue, but with pla and normal PETG. It seems to happen randomly.
