Ordering new hotend and have questions

First, I am handicapped. Myositis is a muscle degenerative disease without a cure. Over 25 years with myositis, my hands now have extremely weak grip and poor dexterity. Lucky me, eh?

Since purchasing a P1S Combo I do change out the .4mm nozzle to a .2mm or .6mm frequently. My Myositis is making the nozzle swap out very difficult. I’m at the point I feel it necessary to order a simpler, easy in and out nozzle.

I think the FlowTech™ Hotend for Bambu Lab P1 Printers is the solution. It comes with a standard flow / hardened tip nozzle. Being standard flow, and I don’t foresee using CF filaments, I don’t think replacing the standard extruder for a hardened steel extruder would be necessary. Am I wrong?

Also, I’m guessing there would be no major differences other than changing the nozzle parameter in the P1S from stainless .4mm to hardened .4mm.
Am I wrong?

I’m sorry you have to deal with that.

There are several nozzle swap solutions but those you linked to look very affordable and Microswiss is a reputable company.

You’re not wrong about the extruder gear. As long as you don’t print CF or any other abrasive filaments you are fine with the stock one.

If you get the regular flow versions then, as you mentioned, changing the stainless to hardened is really the only setting you will need to modify and you should be good to go.

Hey, PrinterMcgee! You’ve helped me before and I have read many of your responses to others. Thanks for the solution!
