I’m new to 3D printing and really enjoying this good but sharp learning curve into the world of 3D printing.
I’m having some issues with a particular print and really struggling to get the overhangs looking good on my A1 mini. I’ve tried a few different options (layer heights, print speeds, bridge settings, overhang speeds and nothing can get this right)
I am printing in Overture PLA+ instead of ABS like on the makers world link but these are just for show not function so strength isn’t a massive concern. After about layer 12/13 is where is starts to get really nasty. For now I have cut the object so I can do some testing to try and get this nailed. I’d really welcome any suggestions.

You can try variable layer height to get the initial layers to be at the minimum and get thicker as it gets pst the overhangs.
I did try printing the whole thing in 0.08mm high quality and it still had the same result for the overhang.
Here are some things to try:
- Make sure your filament is dry (new out of the bag does not guarantee it is dry)
- Manual calibrate for pressure advance
- Manual calibrate for flow ratio
I am travelling at the moment so I do not have access to Bambu Studio to dig deeper until I get home. I may try printing one when I get home.
If the filament wasn’t dry then wouldn’t more of the print be the same?
If you could try printing it that would be really good to know if you have the similar issues.
Wet filament will show in the tricky areas first i.e. overhangs.
I printed this today in PLA Basic. I did not have any issues using the settings provided in the file. My filament is dry and has been calibrated for pressure advance and flow ratio.

I will look at how to do pressure calibration and flow ratio as it’s not something I’ve done before.
