Overhang wall speed issue

Hello all,

I’m looking for some help regarding overhang walls and controlling their speed. I haven’t updated my version of Studio since 1.10 until recently updating to 2.4 for a new printer.

My issue is that I can’t find a way to control the overhang wall speed. Models that used to print fine, now print poorly specifically only in the overhang wall as it is printing extremely slow and I can’t figure out how to control it.

The new Studio version slices at 10mm/s for the overhang wall and no settings seem to have any affect on it. Version 1.10 prints the overhang walls at 25mm/s minimum and has the setting “over 100% wall (not bridge)” which allowed direct control over it.

From the research I’ve done it looks like its supposed to calculate with bridges/overhangs but none of those settings allow me to increase the overhang wall speed.

Does anyone have suggestions on what I am missing in the new version? Or a good way to bypass this? Thanks in advance

Have you tried adjusting the Overhang speed under the Speed tab? There’s speed values based upon the angle of the overhang. You can change the 10mm/s values to 25 mm/s if you want to go that fast.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried to adjust those speeds as well as turning off the slow down for the overhangs to see if it would change the overhang wall speed with no luck.

Try disabling Detect overhang walls. That’s another setting that determines overhang speed.

That did it. I looked for that setting before and didn’t notice I no longer had developer mode turned on. Thank you very much.
