New P1 Series Firmware Available for Public Beta Testing!

We’re excited to announce that firmware V01.09.01.23 for the P1 Series is now available through our Public Beta Program.

How to Join the Beta
To access the beta firmware, simply join the Beta Firmware Program via the Bambu Handy app under Me → Beta Firmware Program.

Once enrolled, the update will be pushed to your device gradually.

You can leave the Beta Program at any time by disabling the option in the app and installing the latest official firmware version.

New Features

  • External Spool Multi-Color Printing: Added support for multi-color printing using the external spool. Users can now manually swap external filaments during the printing process to achieve multi-color results (Requires Bambu Studio 2.5.2.65 or higher).

  • Automatic Drying Presets: Added the ability to automatically match official filament drying presets when using AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT for drying.

  • Chamber Light Memory: Chamber light preference settings are now saved after power-off.

Feature Optimizations

  • Security Update: Included critical security patches.

  • Local Files Reprint Logic Optimization : Added AMS detection when initiating prints from local history. If no AMS is detected, the system will now default to the external spool option.

  • G-code Files Printing Logic Optimization: G-code file printing now defaults to single-color printing via the external spool.

  • PA Parameter Memory Fix: Fixed an issue where power cycles could cause the Pressure Advance ( PA ) parameters of filaments inside the AMS to be overwritten.

  • Power Loss Recovery Optimization: Fixed occasional abnormalities in the “Power Loss Recovery” function.

  • UI Display Fix: Resolved an issue where the interface would occasionally appear blank following a version update.

  • Third-Party Filament Drying: Fixed an issue preventing drying cycles for non-official filaments when loaded into AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT.

Notes:

  1. Bridge Firmware Requirement: If your P1 series printer firmware is below 01.09.01.00, you must first perform an offline upgrade to the “Bridge Firmware” (01.09.01.00) before upgrading to any version higher than that.

  2. Recommended Accessory Versions: To ensure optimal stability and user experience, we recommend updating your AMS units to the following versions:

  3. AMS: 01.00.06.83

  4. AMS HT: 03.00.21.29

  5. AMS 2 Pro: 03.00.21.29

these are amazing new features!

This is a good new feature.

I can only imagine how quickly people will find it nauseating though when they have 100+ changes to make.

To bad they quit doing firmware updates on the x1c

  • Chamber Light Memory: Chamber light preference settings are now saved after power-off.

Does that include the ability to turn off the chamber light after printing? Or does this just ensure that when turning on the power then the chamber light comes on if you left it on, and off if you left it off?

Really hoping for the former!

Sucks the P2S gets filament drying while printing but P1S doesn’t?!?

The only perk from drying while printing is that you could dry 3 rolls while printing with the 4th. The drying function is not hot enough to really affect the filament as you print. Even then you would have to limit the drying to the lowest for the filament loaded.

I tried it to test in on the H2S and while it works it works only as it “comes on and does what it says”. I saw no benefit for the filament used to print with.

Yes very annoying! I bought the AMS H2 for that purpose with my P1S

not sure if anyone else is having the same issue but the remote camera on bambu handy doesn’t seem to be working after the firmware update.

Having same issue, however few tries and it always sooner or later works. So its probably something minor
