I can print a Benchy that Looks Perfect.
Next print may or may not print any and just keep going as if its printing with zero filament extruding.
Re-calibrated after a NEW Hot end put on it same issue
Load filament heats up purges every time, unload filament works to push filament out of extruder ( shouldn’t be extruder gear then)
This P1S has 5000 hours.
Another P1S owned by a friend has same issue but only 500 +/- hours print time.
Assuming zero filament stuck in hot end or extruder, what is most likely cause?

are you using ams or manual feeding? Once i know this i can help more. Also, what filament are you using?
Filament is Bambu Basic PLA, This occurs with AMS and without AMS on both printers.
That is very odd! For one, I would open a ticket with Bambu. Secondly, I would try a cold pull. If you dont know how, I can explain it.
My printer is doing the same thing. I have switched out the hotend w/a new one and fan. It printed beautifully, then the cutter got stuck. That resolved on it’s own. Now it only prints air. I can’t seem to do anything to correct it.
I am having the same issue printing air, I have only had my printer about 3 weeks print hours is only 73 print hours , opened a ticket was told my cutter was installed wrong so I have just checked that and now I am doing a calibration before I try to print again, just tried to print an it is still doing the same thing acts like it will print but not send any filament out I am using the external spool PLA , no clogs , does anyone have any ideals of what my issue is ? any help would be great Thank you
