Hi everyone,
I’m setting up a brand new Bambu P1S with an AMS 2 and an AMS HT, but neither AMS unit is powering on. Everything is connected as instructed, but both AMS units show no lights at all.
The printer passes calibration and self-testing with no errors. I am using the AMS Hub to connect the two AMS units.
Here’s what I’ve done so far to troubleshoot:
- Triple-checked all cables and connections
- Double-checked that both AMS units are powered and correctly plugged into the AMS Hub
- Power cycled the printer, both AMS units multiple times
- Updated the firmware to v1.09
- Performed a full factory reset
- Tested each AMS individually
- Tried multiple AMS cables
- Verified cable continuity
- Tested resistance values as recommended in Bambu’s troubleshooting guides
- Tested the 4-pin AMS power connector on the P1S — it is not outputting 24V
Since neither AMS powers on and the P1S appears to be providing no 24V from the AMS port, I’m starting to suspect a hardware issue with the printer’s AMS power output. Before I open a support ticket for repair/replacement, has anyone seen this issue or is there anything else I should check?
Thanks for any help!
