Greetings Gentle folk of the Forum
I recently Turned 60, so what better gift to buy myself than a P1S & AMS2 combo. Firstly I installed the external filament reel and got the printer doing a few benchies. Great, printer works well, no problem. Then I thought I would install the AMS2, and did so reading the instructions and watching a few youtube videos. I then tried to print another benchy from the AMS but for some reason I found that the PTFE tubes kept popping resulting in the ams running and pumping filament into the chamber. I couldnt get the ams2 to reliably get the filament to the hot end, it keep on popping off eith side of where the PTFE tube enters the printer enclosure (at the rubber thingy)
The PTFE’s need to be cut quite cleanly at 90° and pushed in fully. If that is the case, it may be that your PTFE coupler is damaged and needs replacement.
A push-lock tubing connector has small metal teeth that will bite into the tubing but the tubing needs to be pushed all the way in until it bottoms out. To release the tubing you push the lock downward which forces the teeth to open and stay open so you can retract the tubing from the fitting.
