I’ve had a P1S with an AMS for a few weeks now. So far, I’ve been extremely satisfied. But suddenly, I’m getting very poor print quality in terms of surface finish (see pictures). I can’t explain where this is coming from. It’s not limited to one filament, but happens with all filaments. What I’ve tried so far:
Cleaning the nozzle (did not replace it)
Cold pull
Checked the feed line
Firmware downgrade and upgrade
Done all available calibrations (on the printer and software)
Print in silent mode
Printing via app and PC
ONLY Bambu filaments and setting are used
Tried adjusting the flow ratio
Followed bambus guide: “Under extrusion”
At this point, I really don’t know what else to do. When I dispense filament through the printer, it comes out in a straight stream and actually looks fine. Do you have any ideas?
Justs did one right now. Same problem. But this time i started a benchy and around 12mm it just printed in the air. Either the Z-axis is completely off or there were no filament extruded.
Have you taken the extruder part and cleaned the gears, etc? If you have printed much of the abrasive materials you may need to replace the extruder with a hardened steel set.
Thats the point i don’t understand. I haven’t printed a lot since i got the printer (78 hours according to the settings). And i printed only standard PLA and once PLA Matte from Bambu. I can’t imagine that the extruder gears have to be cleaned or replaced after this kind of usage. But i will look into it.
There could be some foreign material in the extruder, I have had that happen to me. Have you tried clearing the nozzle with the needle supplied in the accessory kit? If you have a spare nozzle, swapping them out would eliminate that as a possibility.
So i decided to change the nozzle. I was a bit hesitant because of the low print times and the fact that i cleaned the nozzle a couple of times. But this has done the trick this far. Everything is back to normal now. Thanks for all the support. Next time, this will be the first thing i do
