So I have a brand new P1S printer. I’ve been using it for about a week. Used it earlier today successfully.ThenI tried to do a new print and the auto bed leveling routine failed. It failed three times in a row. I realized that the only change that I had made from the previous successful print was that I propped the top glass cover open about an inch as I had read that was recommended for printing PLA. I closed the top cover and VIOLA! No problem at all with the bed leveling. Does anyone have any idea why propping the top cover open would cause a problem?

With the top in place, watch the PTFE tube during levelling to see where it might be hanging up. You might need to adjust the length of the tubing inside the chamber to allow free movement in all positions.
Accessory tubing guides have also been to known to cause problems. If you installed one, try taking it off.

Had this same problem when I propped up the top cover using a 3d printed support, this doesn’t happen when the glass cover is totally removed or totally seated.
I recon this is due to excessive vibration caused by the propped up glass cover.
PROBLEM SOLVED! Thanks for the advice. I tested with the cover completely removed and had no faults in the bed leveling. I then ran it again with the cover propped up (using only one spacer block), at the front of the cover. Doing this creates a nice pinch point at the back of the printer, between the top cover and the side of the printer housing. During leveling the filament tube would get pushed into that v shaped gap and get hung up. Easy Fix! Thanks for your help with this one
