P1s filament cutting fail

It looks like XY homing (Y more specifically) is not properly set. As the printer does its homing by knocking the front right corner, don’t you have any mod in this area that would interfere and prevent the homing to be set properly?

@philch is right. This could be the reason of this problem. At second 00:13, you can see that the printer is trying to home on Y axis again, because something is not right in the positioning.

In our tickets, we have seen this situation multiple times where the printer cannot home correctly on either the X axis or Y axis.

Usually, if this occurs, it is because of small filament debris that could trigger the homing quicker, or a mod like motor covers, purge chute covers, additional LED lights, etc (which are to be avoided).

For this particular case, double-check the end of the Y axis rails and the section around them, to see exactly what might trigger the senseless homing quicker. In this case, it is probably something located towards the front of the printer.

I have checked everything but can’t really see anything that is different, what could it be

The trigger is loose on the printer. Watch the video carefully and you’ll see it move up as the cutter arm moves into it. It’s moving upright not triggering the cut.

it’s not moving up, but towards the door. Same thing though, it’s not in position to trigger the arm. It’s not the motion it’s the actual arm that hits the cutter. It’s spring loaded so it comes back after the head moves.

and what can I do to solve this

That would be a thing for Support. I don’t have time to look closely at the part right now.

okay thanks for your help I am strugeling a few weeks now😅
