P1S Ghost printing / Filament not coming out / no errors

Hi, I’m currently having issues with my P1S+AMS, I’m trying to print with a 0.2 nozzle a 52hr print.

this is the second time it happens in different times/hrs. both above 20 hrs of the print.

Printer set up:
0.2 stainless steal
Bambu PLA Matte Charcoal feeding from AMS
Temps
*220/220 Hot end
*55/55 Bed

current issues:
No Filament coming Out
Extruder wheel its not moving
AMS its not feeding
and no Error codes on screen

The printer keep “working” like everything its ok but nothing its coming out of the hothead.

the Hot end its brand new, after my first fail, i tried to re do the print but that time after filament was primed from the AMS and purge line was completed, it start acting like “it run out of filament” doing this ghost printing. I remove the extruder assembly but nothing was found. after the inspection of the extruder I did some test and everything was looking ok, started the main print again and if failed after 24hrs into the print. Idk what can be causing this issue, please help!

Have you changed the printer settings (via the display) to use a .2 nozzle?

To me it sounds like the nozzle is building enough pressure that the filament feed gears are grinding and indent into the filament. This would cause the print to continue but nothing to be extruded.

Is there a reason you need print with a .2 nozzle?

I did change the printer settings before. .2 due to the small details in the print that’s all. I literally just removed the extruder assembly and everything seems clear, the yellow wheel spins with no issues whatsoever and the motor also looks clear


What is the tape on the filament for?

How long has that extruder been in service? Admittedly hard to tell for sure but the metal serrated wheel looks worn. A lot deeper than I recall. Is the tensioner roller that applies pressure tight?

As much troubles I’ve heard about the .2mm nozzle coupled with the length of the print it does not surprise me.

Does stuff build up on the nozzle where you could pause the print, clean the nozzle and resume the print? Never paid attention to where the toolhead goes when you hit pause. If it runs to the chute you could maybe do that.
Maybe heat creep plugging nozzle due to length of print?

It was just an indicator to check if the AMS was trying to push filament or not.

Extruded has been in service for 800 hrs and tensioner it’s tight. No build up on the nozzle while printing or any stringing from the filament. Every how often you should replace your extruder assembly ?

With the extruder out, and nozzle out, you can see if filament moves through freely through the extruder by turning the yellow drive gear. If you feel a spot where resistance is elevated, it needs to be investigated.

The entire path filament travels along is subject to wear and can be considered consumable.

This is just a suggestion as you have stripped the extruder head down.
Has the magnet been moved as this is polarity sensitive?.
If it has then reverse it and this should solve your problem.

whenever you mention magnet you mean the ones in the Toolhead Housing?

You would feel it as a slight difference as you passed the filament slowly by hand through the extruder from top to bottom and bottom to top (retract).
I’d try an intricate model that is significantly shorter print time, using .4mm nozzle. If you look at the settings in layer height set to one of the fine settings such as Extra Fine and see how it looks. This may tell you if it is the .2mm nozzle causing the problem or you may also fing the .4mm nozzle set to .08 Extra Fine is acceptable.
Lots of folks post questions the gist of which is they are having troubles with .2 nozzle.
