P1s jamming on z axis

Hi i have a p1s and its jamming on the z axis when it gets to about where the wiper bin starts and then it looks like its coult on something it makes strange noise and moves less ech time going up even though i use the by 10 every time ive linked sum videos of issue

  • Printer model P1S

The first picture shows a massive issue and you don’t really talk about it. The z-axis lead screw is not seated inside the bearing, this is disastrous, so are we to assume its reseated before the videos showing the tests? Which don’t show much, one would want to see down the z-axis as the screws turn to see if they are true.

Bearing silicone sleeve on z axis screws - Bambu Lab P1 Series / Troubleshooting - Bambu Lab Community Forum

Hi i have a p1s and the silicone sleeve has come off one of the screw things

Is there a guide on how to rethread it? And can you buy new ones?

  • Detailed description of the problem
  • Printer model used
  • Slicer settings used
  • Type of filament used
  • Photos that clearly show the problem
  • .3mf file (if the file can be shared)
  • Any potentially useful information that is related to the problem

It looks like the z lead screw has dropped out of the bearing. Check the bottom of the printer where the z lead screw is attached the the pulley. Here is wiki for doing this.

@Lenyo How do i reseat it is there a video guide

Ok thanks will check when im home from work @Lenyo

That’s a whole lot of grease on that lead screw for the z axis.

And the pulleys/belt…

@user_3663498702 - that excess grease will cause you all sorts of bed adhesion issues if it gets on your build plate. Silicone-based greases are difficult to completely clean off too.

Best to keep build plates safely out of the way of flying grease when lubing up and use just a small amount of grease evenly applied.

@Lenyo how to i remove the ab glue?

Use a putty knife, or scraper as shown to get in between the cap and the pulley, or use needle nose pliers and just twist it off there I suppose.

The guide doesn’t suggest otherwise or I might say to use some heat:

@Lenyo i got tge glue off but the bit where the screw rod come out wont go pass plastic is there a way to lift it?

I have but one question.
It’s a serious question so I hope you’ll answer it, and I never thought I’d ask anyone such a question.

Why so much lube?

Was not on purpose thought as it went through pullys it whould spread it out

I see. You must have been expecting it to go through the pullys quite a few times.

Thanks.
