P1S Lan mode not working with Windows 11

Same here  I think it may have worked at one point but can’t remember if it was on older versions or before I added the AMS or whatever. It doesn’t bother me and I never researched a way around.

What do you mean by connection with IP and access code, where do you find that option exactly? I use filezilla for FTP access and use IP and access code fine, same with MQTT explorer.

I’ve never tried binding with PIN Code, may be that would fix it, don’t know

with connection with IP and access code i mean.

Device → “No Printer” → Bind with access code.

There i can enter the IP and access code of the printer to connect it that way (only available in Bambu Studio, not in Orca). As far as i know that was implemented for people like me who have/had problems with the auto discovery of the printer. Sadly its not working like it should.

Bind with PIN code is only working with the cloud connection.

FYI: A solution that worked for me folks

I have been having the same problem. P1S and Bambu Studio not connecting in LAN only mode.

Set up the printer as per instructions.
I could see the printer under devices → Add in the top left corner.
If I clicked on the printer I got a dialogue box saying ‘Incorrect Password’
If I selected add with access code then I got a dialogue box asking for an IP address and access code. That just returned a cannot connect error message.

I ran a LAN trace to see what was happening.
The printer was sending Simple Service Discovery Protocol messages which is why Bambu Studio could see it.
When I pressed connect when adding with access code, my PC sent out an IP connection request (SYN), but instead of responding with a SYN ACK packet the printer responded with an RST ACK message killing the connection.

So it looked like a TCP/IP stack problem in the printer.
I ‘forgot’ my wifi connection in the printer and the switched it off.
After a few seconds I switched it on again and went through the QR/Bambu handy Wifi setup again and then set LAN only mode.

This time when pressing connect the Printer responded to the SYN with a SYN ACK and the connection process continued and Bambu Studio connected.

I hope this helps a few of you out there.

Nick

Oh no, that “Printer port in use” error is super frustrating when you just want to print something! It’s like your computer and printer are having a little disagreement about who gets to talk on the phone line.
Usually, this message pops up because another program or process on your computer is currently trying to use the same communication channel (the “port”) that your printer needs.
Sometimes, the easiest thing to try is just restarting your computer and your printer. It sounds simple, but it can often clear out whatever was hogging the port. Think of it like telling everyone to hang up so the printer can make its important call.
If that doesn’t work, it could be that a print job got stuck in the queue. You can check this by searching for “Print Management” in the Start menu and opening it. Look for your printer in the list and see if there are any documents stuck in the “Jobs” section. If there are, try right-clicking on them and canceling them.
Another possibility is that the printer driver is having a moment. You could try reinstalling the printer driver. First, uninstall your printer by going to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners, clicking on your printer, and then clicking “Remove device.” After that, head to the printer manufacturer’s website, download the latest driver for your Windows version, and install it.
Basically, we need to figure out what else is trying to chat with your printer at the same time. Restarting is the quickest first step, and then checking the print queue and the driver are the next most likely solutions.
