P1S: New Printer That I Just Got

This is my second printer from Bambu Labs, I have an A1 also, I bought this printer because I wanted to print with ABS and give it a try. I’m no pro at this stuff but I like to print stuff that you guys make an put on Makers World it passes the time for me. I just got this printer an just set it up, I never had trouble with my A1 it printed right out of box, this one however, the camera does not work, an it fails the calibration test. Said the hot end fan speed was to slow. I put on a new hot end, I bought a 4mm hardened one .I’m kind of lost of what to do this printer has not done anything.Would like somebody to tell me if I should call or make out some ticket to get this thing working. Thanks Paul

Yeah. Ticket is the way to go.

Or if you got it from a retail store, just go exchange.

What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

Edit:

Did the fan start having issues before or after the hotend replacement? The way that I read it was that it failed calibration before the hotend replacement. As @PrinterMcgee said, this could easily be the cables.

It’s really easy to plug the fan in incorrectly. Even though it looks correct the pins won’t be lined up. Check that and then we’ll try to figure out the camera.

Yeah, camera not working is odd. I’m not familiar with the new camera, old one I’d say the cable was nicked.

Remember when everyone was putting enclosures on P1Ps? That cable would get a screw through it easily. Here I dunno.

-+well I did not try to run it right off the bat I bought a 4mm head which I changed right out of box so for giggles right after I posted this I took hot end out an I took fan off of the hot end that came with printer and it went through calibration .The camera still does not work the icon does not show up on home screen. I know the camera is not the best just like the one my A1has. I have a camera where I print that I could use but I payed for a printer that everything should work. I just use it to check on my prints

I took hot end out changed fan plugged it in an it went through calibration ,but camera still does not work

I still have not got camera to work got calibration to work

I think now is the time to put a ticket in if you haven’t

thanks I gather that is on their support page

Welcome to the forum.

Double check that you removed all of the screws holding the z axis down for shipping.

Solved that issue. Now have 0700-7000-0002-0003 error, apparently a nozzle clog? Not impressed with the P1S so far.

Nozzle Clog is an easy fix

When you don’t set things up correctly it is iminent that you are going to have issues

Get the machine printing before making opinions on it
