Hello, the problem I have is as follows;
Everything starts well: table calibration, first purge line and also first layers (maybe 4-5 layers are ok). But then something happens, the printer does not flow the filament and continues to work as if it were printing in air.
The machine was used only 92 hours
No filament cloging during the print
PTFE hoses are clean
Everything is original
The table is calibrated before each print
Until yesterday I was able to print with 0.05 tolerance. Today something is wrong and I don’t understand what it is. I tried different models and the result is the same.
I use Bambulab basic PLA filaments. It doesn’t matter if there is a color change during printing or not, the error repeats itself constantly.
The AMS moisture content is shown as 1.
The filaments were just opened.
There are desiccants everywhere inside the AMS.
I tried turning the printer off and on, resetting to factory settings. I did all the calibrations again. The software versions seem to be up to date. P1S: 01.07.00.00 and AMS: 00.00.06.49. I disconnected and reconnected the AMS connections, etc. I tried most things I could try.
I don’t know whats happening. I spent 150+ gr waste filament cause. Please help
Might be something wrong with your buffer, there is little spring that can get dislodged, maybe take a look at that? It’s an easy fix if that is the problem.
I found out that the problem was inside the extruder. Since the printer was printing in the air, I had to stop the print several times. Each time the print was paused, the extruder would cut the filament inside. Although the printer tries to purge a bit of filament when preparing for the next print, it seems it can’t fully clear out all the leftover pieces. As a result, there were multiple filament fragments inside the extruder. Even if a new print started fine, it would eventually get clogged.
I set the extruder temperature to 260°C and used a nozzle cleaning needle to purge the remaining material. After that, the issue was resolved.
I was quite worried that it might be a software or mechanical failure, but luckily it wasn’t.
