Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing a strange issue and hope someone here might have an idea.

I’ve printed many lampshades in vase mode before, all with very good quality. I’m using Bambu White PLA Matte. The results have always been clean and smooth.

Now I printed two new models in vase mode, and I’m getting a strange phenomenon (see video). There are sporadic blobs forming on the wall. In the video, you can also see that the model moves slightly at the exact moment this happens.Strangely, it’s not on every layer, but is intermittent.

To troubleshoot, I reprinted an older model with a similar shape that I originally printed over a year ago. The same issue occurred there as well.

The printer is in the same location as before, and the build plate was clean. Since this is happening across different models (including one that previously printed perfectly), I’m unsure whether this is a mechanical issue, extrusion issue, or something else.

Does anyone have an idea what could be causing these random blobs and the brief movement at those spots?

Thanks in advance!

Looks like the head is catching on that blob and flexing the model.

I’m guessing you also resliced it?

Try looking through the vase mode seam hiding options (yes, there is one) and toggle it.

Is there anything strange in that spot in the slicer preview? The preview is reallllly good.

I had a very similar problem. There were too many triangles in the model. I revised it and then it worked.
