P1S Print issue - Waves in top left corner with PETG-HF

I am hoping someone can help, I am trying to print a large flat (7mm thick) piece in Bambu PET-HF and due to the shape I can only orientate it one way without it fouling the exclusion zone in the bottom left. The waves in the picture are the main issue I am trying to solve now, there have been quite a few issues which I have overcome but this seems to be the last issue.

I have tried turning the fan off for the whole print and this has made it better and have also added brims and increased the bed temp by 10 degrees for the first few layers which seems to have also helped. I was also having some inconsistent extrusion so I did a few cold pulls and again this has all helped the overall finish. The print takes 5 hours and uses 200+g of filament so is quite painful when I have now printed 5!

I am about to try another print in the morning with the fan off but I have also adjusted the belt tensioner and trying 20% Adaptive Cubic in fill as 20% Grid seem to catch on the head during printing in places which caused imperfections. Reducing Grid to 15% made it much better, hence trying Adaptive Cubic at 20% next.

Thanks in advance for any help

The cause of the problem is that the part is warping up in that corner. Either it is detaching itself from the bed in that area or it is pulling the bed plate off of the magnet.

When a part warps up you will get those telltale wavey lines as the part it pressing again the nozzle in that area and the extruded plastic has nowhere to go but out the side.

The fix for it can be a little harder to figure out. If the part is detaching from the bed then you need to look into your bed prep, the bed temperature or the amount of walls you are using. Higher wall counts and top layers will cause warping as the plastic shrinks. If the plate is pulling off of the magnet then you can look into bed clips to help keep it down.

Thanks for the reply, I have had it lift off the plate in that corner but since I increased the bed temp for the first few layers, turned off the fans and added brim ears it does not look like it is coming off the plate anymore and the finish has got a lot better. I have however not checked that the plate is itself lifting off the magnet, I will check that with the print which is currently being done…

I might also add that the type of infill you are using can attribute to part warping as well. Gyroid seem to be more forgiving when warping is an issue.
