P1S printing in air

So I took the roll Esun out of the AMS and started a print. First few layers looked marvellous but then :

I guess I still have a clog (or again)

Have any cleaner filament to clean out any remaining deposits? (it’s usually a mix of nylon or such so you might be able to use a higher temp filament that’s slightly abrasive if you don’t have any cleaner filament) Should use it after changing types of filament and any clogs.

Did it print further or same place of stoppage?

What’s the weather like where you are btw? Temp inside the house?

I do have cleaning filament. I’ll try that when my level of frustration has lowered a bit. I live in Amsterdam, it’s always 20 degrees in the house at the moment. I stopped the print immediately.

Do you have one of these extruder filament guides by chance?

I don’t use one anymore since I changed to capricorn tubing, but it is suggested as a try. Main thing to be sure of is there’s no bend/kink in the ptfe near the extruder. If there is “heat creep” will happen sooner because there’s less of a diameter. Your temp in house is more than acceptable though.

Also another thing to check, to see if the filament is bad (esun I wanna say I’ve had good results with) use a pair of calipers and randomly measure the filament for a few meters.

I just downloaded it, I’ll see if I can get it printed.
I’ve been printing with Esun (ABS) for years without any problems so I assumed the same for the PLA but I will measure it.

Bambu filament : no problems whatsoever.
