I am a new user to BS, and I migrated from almost 10 years using Slic3r and prusa slic3r. In PS, there is an option for cooling that allows you to change the speed of the fan from 0% to 100% over a certain amount of layers, such as 500. This is to help determine the best cooling speed for a particular filament. I have noticed BS does not have that under the cooling options for filaments and makes it dang near impossible to run fan tests such as this one:
According to the bambu studio wiki, there should be an option for speed per layer but i can not find it
I am having a terrible time printing in basic PLA silk from ZIRO. I have used the recommended speeds the manufacture says to use and the temps. But edges curl, small overhangs curl and edges boil/bubble, even though the filament has been dried and the AMS is at 10% humidity.
The lack of cooling options makes it difficult to print silk or run fan tests.

I’m totally uneducated with all of this but I will share my experiences.
First, I LOVE the Ziro brand! They make some amazing colors and their packaging is off the charts (they include an air-sealed bag, cleaning filament and lately have added a string of new filament to try out!).
Second, I use this brand all of the time and just set the filament settings to a “Generic Silk” (or whatever it is I’m using). Overall, RARELY have I ever had any issues with this brand and my prints have 99% of the time printed out flawlessly.
So, not sure if you’re changing settings but maybe try it at the generic, default settings.

interesting. All i know is that its curling BAD and not a happy filament. I have left everything at default settings before i try and adjust them : )
Since you have had good luck with it, ill try it again and see. Maybe i need to try out walls first rather than inner to outer

I’m pretty new to all of this but in all of my reading I’m finding one common theme…EVERYONE’S DIFFERENT!!!
From what printer model to filaments, seems like what works great for some is a disaster for others. Doesn’t make sense when we’re all using the same machines but…
Regardless, give the Ziro another shot and if it’s still not working you may want to contact the brand and let them know what’s happening to your prints. If anything, they may give you a refund.
i will try that. I have been printing for 10 years and have never had this issue before, then again, all my printers were bed slingers, not corexy and NEVER PEI. I prefer glass beds. All my prusas were glass beds and so was my cr10.
I need to find a way to make prints stick better to the pei texture sheet

I miss my glass sheets sometimes too. The bottom surface, mmmm…

Obviously, clean it in a way that eradicates all oils. Dish soap, HOT water, clean towels, etc.
But the next step beyond that, Unironically, aqua net unscented hair spray
No other brand
No other scent
It’s not as good as true glue
But it’s 90% less mess and 99% less effort, for 50% of the benefit. Sometimes thats all you need

Got Dang it! I love aquanet hairspray. i use it ALL THE TIME for my cr10. LOVE IT!!! Been using it for 10 years haha. Didnt know you could use it for PEI.
That will help. Now its time to figure out why the filament all of a sudden started curling at very sepcific sections. All 12 failed prints, it fails exact same spot due to curling
