I don’t know what caused the fan to fail so spectacularly, but there it is, chewed up like a piece of scrap through a grinder. Thankfully, I can find parts. Annoyingly, those parts cannot be found on the Bambu site unless I’m a blind trogloydite.

The only way to get it through the Bambu store is to buy the whole front housing assembly.
You can get the fan only, with the correct plug on Aliexpress. If you’re in the US there’s also a store in South Florida that has the same wide mouth fan but you will have to solder the Bambu plug on it:

I think the initial frog in a blender moment happened a few months ago now when the front cover flew off the toolhead out the door, without breaking it somehow, and landed on the floor of my office. then it was a series of the front cover just flying off. I just never noticed the issue till I tried to print something this morning and the thing took off.
