I changed my WiFi password today, and now I am completely unable to bind my P1S printer. None of the options for binding work:
PIN Code - I cannot bind with a PIN code because my printer will not show one. When I click on “Account” where the PIN code is supposed to appear, I get a QR code that tells me I have to use the Bambu Handy App.
WiFi - I cannot enter a WiFi SSID or password. As with the PIN Code above, it shows me only a QR code that tells me I have to use the Bambu Handy App.
Access Code - I cannot bind with an Access Code because I cannot login via WiFi (see above).
Bambu Handy App - When I scan the QR code to bind using the Bambu Handy App, it gets to step 2 of 4 and fails, telling me “Failed to request the printer’s WiFi list”. But, I can’t enter a WiFi SSID or password (see above).
Manual Config of MicroSD Card - I have followed the steps of manually creating a “user_wifi.cfg” file on my MicroSD card with the SSID and password of my WiFi. I’ve done that; the config file is there, but it does nothing.
Factory Reset - I tried doing a factory reset, but that didn’t help.
I’m out of ideas. I’ve searched the forums, read and followed everything I can find, and still can’t connect to my printer. I can see the printer in Bambu Handy, but it won’t connect.
First go to Bluetooth and “forget” the printer.
Run set up again. May take a one or two tries.
If you have a busy 2.4ghz band I suggest turning on a guest network or trying to lessen the number of connected devices while you’re binding the printer and add them back afterword’s.
Also it sometimes helps if you’re using an iPhone to use an Ipad or vice versa. Not always.
Sounds like it was working fine before the PW change. Have you tried changeing the PW back as a test? I’m guessing you also power rolled your router or whatever device supplies your wi-fi? Does the printer show your network name on the printer display under WLAN? If it does, under that does it show an IP address (same screen as access code would be displayed on)? If so is it pingable?
I only use LAN Only, I’ve never used HAndy so a lot of this may not apply to you. Just yesterday I set up Studio on a different PC (windows 10) and tried to connect to the printer (my printer was already connecting on wi-fi on another device so different issue than you) and kept getting failed to connect. Finally figured out that BS was not being enabled on the Public Network side of the windows firewall, box was not checked ( I suspect a security update on W10 several months ago that messed up some other things also may have been part of the problem). After I changed that it worked fine
Yes, it was working fine. I’ll try setting the password back to what it was, but I’ve done a factory reset and the printer seems to have deleted all of its prior WiFi info from the SD card. I put a new user_config.cfg file on the MicroSD card, but the printer isn’t reading it.
Part of the problem is that the information that’s supposed to show up under WLAN doesn’t appear (. It’s supposed to show me a list of available network SSIDs and/or a PIN code that I can use to connect. Instead, it just says “Use this QR code with Bambu Handy to set up your printer.” It’s been about 8 months since I first set up this printer. There’s no IP address because it’s not connected to WiFi. I’m not able to enter an IP address either on the printer or in Bambu Handy.
I don’t know whether there is a LAN only option for the P1S. If there is, I’m not seeing it.
I submitted a support ticket and this was the response. It mostly tells me to retry things I’ve already tried, but I guess I’ll try them again:

1. Check if your WiFi password contains special characters: If your WiFi password contains special symbols such as “&” and “#”, the P1S on-screen keyboard may not be able to input these characters.

3. You can try using a mobile hotspot to connect.
4. Has specific error information been provided? Please record a video of the error occurring or provide a screenshot of the error message.

I am really sorry for what you are going through. When I set my P1S upthe LAN Only option didn’t appear untill the printer was at least connecting to my wi-fi. At first it was only getting a 0.0.0.0 address but it was showing the wi-fi name at which point I was then able to put an IP reservation for it’s MAC on my router.
Other things I can think of, some of these are repeats buts it’s just me trying to remember everything.
Printer will only connect to the 2.4gHz On my router I gave the 2.4 and 5 gHz bands different names. (My PC is on the 5 gHz side).
Look to see if IPv4 & IPv6 are both enabled. Maybe try running IPv4 only and if you get a connection then re-enable IPv6.
The formatting of the SD card is pretty specific and I know I’m not the only one that had issues getting it right. But part of the issue is that there is just no feedback from the printer if something is not right. Use a 32 GB card (or smaller). format to FAT32. You can try formatting on the printer but you may end up needing to use a PC. Make sure upper/lower case match on SSID and PW.
Question: does your printer show Logged in or Not Logged In at the ACCOUNT prompt on the printer display (this is not the wi-fi login).
There are several threads here and on Reddit. No one-size-fits-all solutions.
Sounds like you would love to get back to being able to use Handy but at least if you can get LAN only to work for now you can at least use the printer.
I figured it out. I was pressing “PAIR” on the phone, but not on the printer. At one point yesterday, I actually tried pressing on the PAIR button on the printer screen, but it’s not a touch screen, so I figured that it only needed to be done on the iPhone!
Man, do I feel dumb. Hours wasted for nothing. Maybe I just needed to sleep on it and read the instructions on the screen with fresh eyes.
Glad you figured it out. And this issue (not the solution) is not a one-off, so if you look for a solution you will see lots of posts so that can add to the troubleshooting. I am suspicious of bluetooth anyway, the other day my wifes car was pairing with my iphone and trying to make calls (on it’s own) even though I have bluetooth disabled on the phone. I did check.
