So my P1S has recently developed a fault with the Z-axis. Whenever I try to home it, the heatbed moves up but stops about a centimetre away from its highest possible position and bumps with a more grindy noise than normal. If I try to manually raise it to the highest possible position it makes this horrible grinding noise - and I don’t want to risk damaging it.
I’ve never had that problem, and am not sure what holds the bushing in place (just a snug fit?), so I’m not sure.
I can see how the out-of-place bushing might keep the bed from going all the way down, but I think there must also be something on top that is restricting upward movement and driving the bushing down.
The steppers are not all that powerful, but apparently were able to press the bushing down. You might not need more than finger pressure to get it back up where it belongs.
Actually, I just took a look at the Bambu wiki. The bushing is actually not out of place - that is where it’s supposed to be. This image is taken straight from the Bambu wiki and shows the bushings’ position on the P1P, but I imagine the P1S arrangement is the same. Sorry if you were ecited to help.
