OTA 01.01.00.21

New Features:

1. New support for External Exhaust Fan kit

This feature works by installing an optional External Exhaust Fan kit (sold separately), which enables the machine to actively and directionally vent chamber air. With this kit, users can route chamber exhaust through an external ventilation duct to a designated location in certain scenarios, such as when printing engineering-grade materials.

Once installed, the machine will automatically detect the Exhaust Fan kit and integrate it into the Adaptive Air Flow system for coordinated control. Users can also manually adjust the exhaust fan speed if needed.
This feature requires Bambu Studio to be updated to V2.4.1.80 or a higher version / Bambu Handy to be updated to V3.11.0 or a higher version.

Note: At the time of this update, the kit has not yet been officially released for sale. It is expected to become available for purchase approximately one month (or more) after this update is published.

2. Purify air at the end of printing

This feature automatically runs the filtration system for a period of time after a print finishes, further purifying the air. It is designed to better meet the needs of users with higher air-quality requirements.

The feature is turned off by default. When needed, it can be enabled in Machine Settings → Print Options, where you can also choose the specific operating mode.

By default, the feature supports internal circulation mode only. If the optional external exhaust fan kit is installed, you can switch to external exhaust mode, which is especially beneficial when printing engineering-grade materials.

This feature requires Bambu Studio V2.4.1.80 or later and Bambu Handy V3.11.0 or later.

3. New support for tungsten carbide nozzles

This feature requires Bambu Studio to be updated to V2.4.1.80 or a higher version, and Bambu Handy to be updated to V3.11.0 or a higher version.

Feature Optimizations:

  1. Optimized the issue of VFA
This optimization requires rerunning the motor noise cancellation calibration to take effect.
  2. Added support for touch-based nozzle-clumping detection with high-temperature materials.
  3. Optimized the calibration workflow for touch-based nozzle-clumping detection and resolved failures that occurred in certain scenarios.
  4. Fixed an issue where the printer could occasionally display a black screen and become unresponsive.
  5. Resolved false nozzle-mismatch alerts displayed on the device UI in specific conditions.
  6. Improved the reliability of nozzle-clumping detection to reduce false triggers in certain scenarios.
  7. Optimized visual silicone-sleeve inspection to minimize false detections.
  8. Adjusted the volume of device prompt tones.
This feature requires Bambu Studio V2.4.1.80 or later, and Bambu Handy V3.11.0 or later.
  9. Reduced noise during certain printing operations and during vibration-compensation calibration.
  10. Refined various UI text and prompt messages.

Already installed and the first tests printed. Works and it feels quieter.

How do you have this fan kit already?
I’d very much like to get my hand on one!

It‘s about the firmware not a fan kit

The printer has become significantly quieter, and the jarring and loud vibration test has been eliminated.

Addition: It really looks like the VFA problem has been solved. I just did the calibration and it looks 100% better!

When is the External Exhaust Fan kit going to be available in the store? I can’t see it yet.

Currently, we don’t have an exact date for when it will be added in the store.

I would be interested to know how it looks like :pray:

Edit: talking about the “external exhaust fan kit”

How long will the beta phase approximately take?

Interesting, is it quieter in general or only on some specific movements/steps? I’m still afraid of the noise the P2S can produce coming from a A1. Do you mind sharing with us some vfas tests (before/after?) Thanks

Do you mind sharing with us if it’s quieter in general or only on some particular steps? Thank you

Are these both Beta versions as well?

I didn’t measure it, but I think it’s quieter overall

Thank you, waiting for some youtubers with test videos then

I’m interested in seeing if this same item shows up in additional Bambu printer firmware updates soon.

Hello. I can personally compare both the A1 COMBO and the P2S COMBO with the current firmware, and the noise level of the printer is very similar to that of the A1. Yes, I personally think that the P2S is not significantly noisier than the A1. The AMS PRO2 is noisier. Unfortunately, I do not have the VFA test saved or photographed. I will do another test after the update and then upload a photo here so that the result is relevant.

Hi, just installed 1.01.00.19. I too am interested in the External Exhaust Kit. Are you looking for beta testers for the kit? I would like to help offer my assistance if that would be of any value’?

Oh, the firmware! That one I also have!

Installed and relaunched a vibration compensation sequence. It seems to be lower VFA that I found to pronounced in my first prints. Even A1 was better.

Do you feel it’s an improvement now? On par with the A1? Better or worse? Thanks
