Yesterday my new P2s arrived and I got a very impressive first print :-). Then I started to dry a few filament spools. Because they are still a little bit “wet” I restarted the drying today. Now I get the error code 0700-8000-0001-0002. The text message is “The AMS A heater 1 is disconnected which may be due to a poor connector contact.” I have reconnected the cable from the P2s to the AMS a few times, but no success.
Could any body help ?

That is expected since you didn’t address the actual issue. It’s an internal cable so you need to take the ams 2 apart to re-seat the cable.

I was afraid so. Due to the printer ist really new I opened a ticket at the bambu support. If the will allow me to open the AMS without loosing the warenty I will try it.
Yes, opening up the ams would be something they would tell you to do anyway. It’s rather easy to do, i recently had to do it myself to troubleshoot a sensor.

Finaly I got an answer to the ticket. They told me to check the connectors inside the AMS. But the error still exists. Now they will send me a new heating unit. I will write again when it arrives and if the error will be fixed with the new unit.
Got answer today? I mean that… Does Bambu also respond on weekends?
No … they answered on Wednesday and Thursday.

Today the parts arrived. Due to both heaters do not heat, but only heater one was described in the error message the sent me both heating units and the mainboard. After replacing the heater one the error disappears and both heater delivered warm air. So it seems as if one heater has a defect the other one will be disabled by software.
The ceramic element of the defect heater unit was cracked. Perhaps this happens when the ceramic is pressed in the heatsink. Then one thermal cycle and the ceramic was cracked complete. There is no elastic element in the pressfit assembly so that an minimal dissipation of the process will harm the ceramic. May be here is a potential for improvement.
