Is the P1S supertack plate compatible With P2S? (i go to sell the P1S and if i can use supertack…).
The plates are the same size
And the shape? maybe the shape is different ![]()
They are not doing a complete overhaul here. They will be using the same plate.
Missed opportunity to do some money grabbing
Because of what they’ve done already, I expected them to have a different build plate.
As @CincinnatiDesigns has said, plus this.
The old plates will work, but the auto-detection of build plates will not as the AR marker has changed.
New ones will work as it auto-detects the new AR marker.
They have said this in their Q&A on the subject.
It was an upgrade from the P1S and not a new model. These usually mean the basic printer remains the same.
A new model will typically create a new category, as the H2 series did, and also introduce significant changes. In this world, that means one or more of the following:
- build volumes
- hot end
- nozzle counts
- enclosure changes
- heat increases
- special stuff that is new
no are not the printer cant read the small code as you notice the p2s has a bigger coder and easy to red as far ii see with my printer only you can do is to stop the printer from the menu to read the plate code
