P2S Belt Tensioner holes

Hi everyone,

I just received my P2S. The main reason I got it is for printing engineering filaments … which aren’t exactly good for health. I’m looking for ways to improve filtering and aspiration

I noticed Belt Tensioner has two openings on the back. Can I cover those? It looks like they left it open intentionally. I’m thinking of having aspiration to outside, but openings like that will ruin the aspiration. Bigger openings = I need more air flow to keep negative pressure = chamber running cold = bad for engineering filaments.

What are your thoughts on this? Anyone from bambu lab?

You dont need to completely seal off the printer.

You want to aim for negative pressure. The holes for the tensioner are negligible. Best thing you can do is seal off the purge shute.

oh. I forgot about that - that’s a lot bigger opening than the small belt tensioner small holes. maybe I can cover the top half of the purge chute. Maybe add some packing tape with the glossy side to inside to prevent poop from sticking
