Hello Everybody, I have the follwing problem: I’ve got a Bambulab PETG Spool and while printing the filament crosses and that stops printing (auxiliary motor can not fill more filament in then). I want then to unload the whole filament, so that i can unravel the filament cross, but I don’t know how to to that. when I try to pull it out, the motor will pull it out, but not the whole string. Just before i can pull out the rest, the motor starts filling it in again. Does anybody have a trick how to get the filament completly out of the AMS then so that i can uravel it and fill it in again and then resume the print? Thanks in advance

So if the filament crosses it could not load more filament into the printer. This is not a problem before or after printing. But during printing a project, the printer stops and tells a motor overload. So then I want to be able to completly get the filament out. But when trying to pull it out, just before i reach the end, the motor starts to pull the filament in again. So i have to stop the printing, have waste on the plate, then unravel the filament and start the whole printing again. That could not be the solution. I want to get the filament completly out, unravel, stick it in and resume the print. Here you can see an example and below my printer.
Can you not unload the filament from the printer screen ?
no, have not seen the option. the screen displayed cancel print or resume. so i had to press one of these options.

You may need to cancel any print ,go into the filament window and look there
but i dont want to cancel to 97% print. I want to get the filament out and put it in again and resume.
when i pulled a bit harder, i got it out and unraveled it and put it in again and resumed and that worked, but i dont think this is good for the hardware when i use force to get it out, so in my opinion there must be a solution to get it out without using force.
User discretion would be to cut it and wait for the filament run out notification and reload it that way after untangling

When I get a tangle. I do not unload the filament. Instead, I lift the roll out and remove the tangle by manipulating the roll of filament.
I used to get this a lot.
I eventually realised it was when I’d accidentally let go of the end of the filament when loading and several turns had sprung loose on the spool. Then when i picked up the end again I wouldn’t see that it had passed under one of the other loops while loose. It would often actually print fine until it got to the side of the spool where it would jam. So it seemed fixed.
I found it’s not a good idea to just cut the filament while it’s halted. The printer wants to pull it back out with the spool but now it can’t. So I lift the spool out and unreel it to get it printing again then cut the filament so it runs out naturally, meanwhile carefully unrolling the filament and undo the crossover.
Worst case, I respool the filament.
Now if I lose the end of the filament and it loosens on the spool, I carefully examine the coils to ensure they are not crossed.
It’s very annoying that you can’t use the filament controls to unload and reload while in the error pause state
