I have a P2S Combo setup. I want to add an AMS HT. Can I use the external spool port on the existing buffer to attach the PTFE tube for the AMS HT, and will it function correctly.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

According to Bambu’s store:
Notice the info below Description, it says a P2S Filament Buffer (SA011) is required.
Edit to add, I’m not sure if this buffer is the same as the one on the combo unit. I don’t own a P2S so perhaps wait for someone who does to confirm you need this.
Thanks for the reply. Perhaps I wasn’t clear. I already have the P2S Filament Buffer (it came with the combo purchase). I just want to know if I can remove the external spool PTFE from the buffer and replace it with the PTFE from the AMS HT. The external spool is a manual feed. The AMS HT is an auto and I want to make sure it will work as it is described.
Thanks again.
Absolutely it will work. That is my current setup. AMS 2 Pro is plugged into the bottom PTFE connector and the AMS HT into the top one.
That’s great news; and thanks for the picture, it’s exactly what I had in mind.
Thanks, mipade
I can’t really speak to the P2S as I have a P1S but there are two different devices available. The AMS Hub and the AMS BUFFER. You need the buffer for multiple AMS units.
Hub allows you to have up to 16 spools all of which can be seen in Studio.
I just created new account so can’t post links or pictures yet, but go to the BL store, type HUB in the search text box. Once the Hub page loads, scroll down and it shows the differences as far as the hub and the buffer.
I have 4 AMS devices. One is an HT. That gives me 13 spools to choose from in Studio.
Thanks, I’m aware of the difference between a hub and buffer. According to Bambu’s store, the SA011 Buffer is required for an AMS HT with the P2S, what it doesn’t say is that a P2S combo already has one.
My brain was thinking about how an A1 requires a buffer even if you have the combo unit to use an AMS 2 or AMS HT. I was thinking of buying an A1 mini for small prototype prints, my H2 printers take a lot of time just prepping for a print where the A1 would take less time.
