I have an almost new P2S with an extruder clog. I have started to follow steps to clear, have the extruder out, cannot remove filament and cannot push out the gear assembly from the back.
What to do now? Tried to submit a ticket which was impossible since the printer is now down and cannot access the logs - and logs are required for something that DOES NOT REQUIRE A LOG.
Support ticket submission is nearly impossible, since to use requires moving the mouse around to various other programs, etc - yet a slight move sets you back to the beginning! NUTS!
Anyway - how does one push out/remove the gear assembly so I can remove the stuck filament?
Tried to push out with a punch - AFTER removing the grease/oil cap (NOT mentioned in the wiki), and it simply won’t push by hand. And I’m talking about the large exposed ORANGE gear, not the YELLOW gear mentioned in the wiki (which shows an obvious orange gear).
So I’m stuck at this point
Got the filament out by working the orange gear back and forth. After a few attempts started to move, and get looser and looser. Finally broke the filament off and got everything out. Examined, appeared ok - but trying to test a print the AMS won’t feed filament into the extruder/hot end. I can see it go all the way along the path into the hot end, but simply doesn’t go far enough I guess.
I have no idea what to do next.
Ok - hope I’ve fixed the issue. As I said before - resolved the stuck filament in the extruder gears. When I finally got it worked out of the extruder, parts went on the desk. No idea which was which at first. Reassembling - didn’t extrude.
Slept on it, and got in this morning suspecting that what I had interpreted as a
”grease cap” and belonged on the shaft of the orange gear - was not a grease cap - but instead was the cap that gives tension to the extruder gear spring. So when I reassembled there was essentially no tension on that spring at all. (Note - when parts fell out, the spring and housing for the spring DID NOT FALL OUT - but the spring cap slid out).
Disassembled and took that “grease cap” out, and the spring housing and the spring, and yep - no cap on the spring. So put it back on the spring, reassembled - couple simple tests, and printing is now happening.
Would help if in addition to the pics, they would show the parts and LABEL them in one pic so you’d know that the little piece is a SPRING CAP, and not something else when everything just falls out and you’ve now got pieces everywhere.
Sorry to jump into this thread, but I have a very similar urgent P2S AMS Combo issue and this thread is the closest match I found.
My filament seems stuck around the hotend/toolhead area. The printer also showed HMS 07FF450000020001 / right filament cutter sensor malfunction.
When I opened the toolhead, I found a loose/disconnected small sensor/chip/cable area near the cutter sensor area. I am not sure whether it is just unplugged or whether the cutter sensor, cable, hotend/extruder, or toolhead board is damaged.
Can anyone tell from this symptom whether this sounds like a stuck filament plus reassembly issue, or whether I should stop and order a replacement part? If replacement is likely, which part would you check first: cutter sensor, cutter lever/blade, cable, hotend, extruder, or toolhead board?
I do not want to force the cutter or filament and break something. New forum account cannot attach photos or links yet, but I can provide photos if allowed.
Thought about this before replying. I’m new to the P2S Bambu printer (I’d used a Creality Ender 3V2 for several years before) - all to say I’m still getting familiar with the parts and procedures.
I’m not sure what the part is that is the loose/disconnected chip/sensor/cable actually is. It’s not clear if you saw that upon opening the toolhead. The only cables I’m aware of that could be there are either the toolhead cover itself with its cable - or the extruder Hall sensor. If it’s the extruder sensor, then the clip came apart that released the cable. But it also isn’t a “chip” unless the cable broke off from the extruder sensor itself and you just are looking at the ribbon cable itself detached from the extruder sensor. And I’m not too sure exactly how that would happen.
has somebody good settings for the P2S printer. i’ve been printing with them sometime now, but id ont know why there are some prints that are impossible to finish in goog manners in the P2S but my A1 finished it perfectly.
The hotend starts pushing the filament, and at some point, a strand gets caught in the part where it’s deposited and trapped between the metal piece that should push it and its bottom. This prevents it from pushing it through the waste tunnel, and it starts creating blobs that will ruin the entire print in the best-case scenario and the hotend in the worst. It’s truly impossible to finish a large piece with many color changes.
So, when i need a big piece with so many color changes, it’s for me at the moment, to do it in the A1, also, the same print at the P2S has so much more color transfer in the pieces than at the A1.
That happens to you too? its not normal a new printer, so considered a better printer than the A1 , performs worst prints than his cheaper brother?
