This happened during the last h2d giveaway too, and now its happening again on p2s giveaway. Both on Facebook and instagram
Is this a joke? Who in his right mind thought it would be a good idea to make a giveaway for a printer and include only the people who already have it ?

But make sense, it’s for marketing purposes only. They want people with pictures of this new product in social media (is Cheaper send 3 printers than pay for marketing to some influencers).

Some people are in a position to help market their new printer and if they do, they get a chance to win something. What’s the problem? Do you feel entitled to a chance to win?

In most countries the law says that everyone has to have a chance to win, that’s why the small print always says, “No purchase necessary”. Having said that I know in the Instagram post, at least, it said the US viewers could just post what P2S feature they’re excited about in the comments as an entry.

As a US resident I guess I’d only have to post about a feature im excited about, but i dont see where it says the P2S has to be in the shot? Just post a model you’ve made with any printer and say it was the P2S, boom entered lol :man_shrugging: What momma don’t know, won’t hurt her.

The ‘issue’ here isn’t that someone doesn’t get a chance, it is the strange idea that in order to win a P2S you must have already purchased one to generate prints from it.

There are legal issues as already stated, but I do nit believe that was the OPs point.

One benefit of not being able to buy it in the US, you get to just write sweet soliloquies to win it.

Tariffs are still an issue because despite it being a prize, that doesn’t remove the cost to import as the tax man doesn’t count “is a prize” as a means to zero rate anyway.

I think people see this as an issue because they don’t understand value exchanges and expect to get stuff for nothing.

Ya’ll see “submit your favorite print by the P2S to win a P2S.” All i see is “submit your favorite print to win a P2S.” Unless i missed where they would need you to also submit your current P2S SN in order to prove you had one…

If the program is run with the same quality control as Makerworld, you can just submit AI photoshops of prints and be counted as an entry just fine.

If it has the same corrective actions as Makerworld, you can just deny that it was AI with another AI generated picture, and it will be counted as an entry just fine

Strange that they would be giving them away when they have none to sell. I’ve been on the ‘notify when available list’ for weeks. Haven’t heard a word.

That is, because all Preorder Batches are beeing sold out before it becomes avaiable on stock. I have preordered mine 2 weeks ago (shipment was announced by November 7th) and now it is already dispached and on the way (Europe)

Ah! Cool! In that case, you can tell us what the price is. I may or may not even get one to replace my P1S. Depends on the price. The way things currently stand, you can’t know the price until you order one, and I can’t order one. :slight_smile:
