On my 125 hour P2S, I cant really pinpoint the sound, but it occurs when accelerating from right to left. The sound is a very quick sorta of “chuu” and occurs about 4-5” from the right end of the X-axis rail. It’s kind of like the sound of a very quick air puff. Thats the best I can explain it. The sound occurs when laying down a straight X line and a front right to back left diagonal. The “puff” seems to last no more than half a second. Does anyone have a clue about this?

I lubed the X axis rails since the noise was only occuring during the horizontal moves. That didnt help. It seems to me its coming from the print head but why it does that only in a certain range in the X axis and occurs towards the center in the Y axis is baffling so far. The very small amount of movement during which the sound occurs, maybe about 10 mm, and only when it accelerates to the fastest speed is a mystery still.
Re-oiled the X-rods again and then for the first time oiled the Y-rods and all the idler pulleys per the Wiki page.
The noise is gone now.

I too have this issue, my X-Y rods could not be more lubed if I try. Sound goes away once warmed up.
