So I was printing some swatches to calibrate ams purge optimisation. The red/yellow ones are printed on the A1 for comparison and are perfect.
However, the issue is with the blue ones, printed on the P2S. Both prints had all flushing volumes set to 0, double-checked, and both prints had dynamic flow calibration set to OFF. However, the P2S seems to ignore this setting as there is nearly no color bleed. How to solve?
Another issue I noticed, if you zoom closely on the blue picture, is that the lines on the first layer (swatches are 1 layer thin) do separate. This makes me think there’s not enough flow. Why would that be? I did not touch the initial flow, the flow ratio or the line width settings - they are the stock value. This happens for all filaments in the picture: ELEGOO PLA Slate Grey, Bambu Lab PLA Matte Marine Blue + Sky Blue and Bambu Lab Silk+ Baby Blue.
Also notice the blue samples are printed on a BIQU CryoGrip Frostbite using the Cool Plate Supertack plate profile from Bambu Studio.

I have the impression that all the finely textured plates cause a very light under extrusion on the first layer. I have used a Juupine Glacier and a Fysetc CryoNix and on both I saw very light under extrusion on the X1C.
For the textured plate, BambuLab have implemented a Z-offset of 0,05mm in the machine G-Code. I use QR code stickers for engineering on the Glacier and CryoNix plates and have added the same Z-offset for engineering plate, but with 0,015mm. The difference sounds miniscule but I think it has solved the under extrusion for me and also adhesion problems i had with PLA on the Glacier plate.
Of course the reason for your problem could as well be a wrong flow calibration.
I am inclined to agree with you because the cool plate super tack is very smooth, but the cryo grip is very grainy, much like the textured plate (even more probably). So using the cool super tack plate with the non-textured plate machine g-code may be an issue. That could explain the under-extrusion.
But what about the P2S ignoring “dynamic flow calibration = disabled”?
then it probably is a misunderstanding: automatic flow dynamics calibration is executed once at the very beginning of a print and only with the first filament used in the print.
On the X1C, it prints a few extra lines in the front and scans them with the lidar to determine the best flow dynamics (pressure advance) setting.
I don’t know how exactly it is implemented on the P2S, but it surely has nothing to do with the purging on filament changes.
I hardly print multicolor. But I would assume that even with purge volume 0, it will purge some just for loading the new filament.
@Alex_vG I expect the flushed volume between one color and the next to be around 100 ish or above. Even white to black is around 50 and it’s the easiest swap. So all of them being near 0 indicate something is wrong.
True, sounds like something else is going on. It is probably not the flow dynamics calibration.
You could go through the machine settings if you find something in the filament change gcode. All flushing done should be in there. You make the impression that you have no problem to understand it and only need some hints in the right direction.
