I had to use a flashlight to get the camera to capture the details, but I just don’t know. The benchy does look pretty good without harsh lighting, but I swear the A1 Mini had better print quality than my P2S, and this is with the benchy printed at normal speeds, no special profile. Filament is properly dried, and is Polymaker Panchroma. Used the “Generic PLA” preset. All normal troubleshooting done, calibrations all ran. Does matte PLA show more imperfections? Am I being way too picky on tiny imperfections, or is something actually wrong? I really hope these problems will get fixed in a future update, because a more expensive CoreXY printer should really print better than a cheap (ish) bed slinger.
do you have the benchy from the A1 mini? it looks ok, besides some blobs and irregularities that could be because the printer is bigger and/or something with the filament

And this was the speed benchy preset on the A1 Mini, which took 15 minutes compared to ~45 minutes on the P2S.
tricky, can you use the same filament? A1 mini looks better but you know how filaments are deceiving
Both were printed with the same print profile, same speeds, flow calibration, and filament (some cheap Deeplee filament I had laying around). Both exhibit some similar artifacts in the same spot, likely due to the slicing preset. But the pictures might explain the rest.
I just expect better. Yes, I know this is cheap-ish filament and black filament shows more imperfections, but still. Something is off. But another thing I noticed was on one of my other prints that I printed with the “0.2mm layer, Quality” preset, well, it was the quality I would expect from the P2S?
I don’t know what is going on here.
I am also noticing similar problems on my A1 Mini. Left is before belt tensioning, right is after. Not much of a difference.
Hi, I have my P2S for almost 2 months now and printed over 200h on it on various filaments. So far my experience that the Quality is related to poor quality of Filament and Dryness. Got the AMS to have the Humidity under 20% all the time and I ahve no issues printing using BambuLab or Sunlu filament.
I have tried to print using a 8 years old PLA and it failed in similar way as you describing. Just as FYI I printed with PETG and TPU getting better quality then you show here. It is worth it to spent a litle extra on good quality filament.
I have tried Bambu PLA Basic, Bambu PETG, and Polymaker PLA. They have all been dried for at least 12 hours. All show similar artifacts. I have however been tweaking with the slicer settings and have gotten tolerable results. What I did is enable “precise wall” (must have dev mode on to see it) and print outer wall first turned on. It improves quality enough so it looks like a decent print without harsh lighting.
I have used the default settings and had perfect printings. Did you check to see if you have any play (movement) on any of the axes? I’m just thinking that can be only 2 reasons for your issue, mechanical or software. If there is nothing lose then certainly is something related to the slicing settings. Eventually you can share the 3mf file and I will print the same with bambulab PLA to compare the results.
