Wondering what your opinions are. I’m noticing on most of my p2s prints (also own a1m and have never seen this) I am getting some strange cracks, or odd shrinkage on my prints for no apparent reason.
This particular file does not have a layer time difference in these areas, which is usually the cause, it’s as if one layer is struggling with adhesion. Using my filament of choice elegoo pla.
Anyone know what this might be? Maybe in consistent temperature? I do use a aux fan deflector:
I’ve experienced something similar before… It looked like there were a few layers separated from each other like that… I tightened all the bolts and did a general maintenance check… After that, the problem was gone… Maybe it’s the same cause.Because I haven’t used Elegoo filament before… but this doesn’t seem to be a filament issue…
A few suggestions:
**I usually use the part fan at 60% and aux fan at 50%
It’s odd because its only on some prints. I’m a bit of a maintenance nut job when it comes to hobbies I am well lubed tightened and calibrated.
Does the p2s suffer from the same issue the A1 series printer had where the bolts behind the hot end assembly come loose over time? Or did they fix that?
To be honest, the screws I tightened 10 days ago were a little loose yesterday… Im not sure. Maybe it’s because I used rubber paver over foam
What filament is that? And what deflector/diffuser are you using? What filament profiles?
all of em lol. I’ve been using more of a diffuser lately instead of a deflector I liked the results better. I’ve had a lot of corner lifting without using something, and since you cannot turn off the aux fan in the slicer in BS (stupid) thats been my go to. I’ve started running without a diffuser or deflector lately since it has become a lot hotter in my place the last couple days.
This was just some elegoo pla, my go to for both my printers. Using my own custom profiles I’ve been working out over time.
I don’t see this happening on my a1, it’s something to do with this printer setup.
Some prints do it, some dont. Like I said above I don’t see a layer time difference. Usually when you do you can see those lines in the print.
What screws exactly were adjusted? I can’t find anything loose but still experiencing this problem only isolated to the p2s
