Hi, I have absolutely terrible VFA on all materials, especially on the X-axis. I tried re-tensioning the belts, lubricating them according to the wiki, but nothing helps. Did Bambulab really make such a bad printer?
In the photo PLA and ABS (black), speeds 150-200 mm/s
The previous P1s printed better. I also noticed the problem is almost always on the back side of the X. Here’s a cube that was printed, showing how much worse the wall facing the back of the printer looks.
I think there’s a mechanical issue here, or Bambulab has broken something in the vibration compensation. Reducing the print acceleration to 3000 doesn’t solve the problem.
If disable K calibration and enter the values manually, you’ll get roughly the same result. And I see this on all the printouts, always on the back side of the X.
Youre not the only one, i was looking for that also , my machine does the same, also when you looking on youtube reviews, there also some machines doing that ! And the response for the VFA
It looks like the p2s is just a faulty printer. And there’s been no response from Bambulab. Maybe they’re aware of the problem and it’s software-related? Or maybe it’s defective and a recall is needed. But I’m increasingly tempted to return it.
I agree, it looks very much like a mechanical issue. That said, yes, there are a few that print quite well. But judging by everything, good printing for the P2S is the exception to the rule.
For me its my second Bambu, ive first pruchased , the a1 mini years ago, but that performs well, compare to the p2s it looks really really bad ,iam really think about , to return it .
Mine got stolen before i had time to check this up… honestly i was planning to rebuy but seeing these…might just get another h2d, at least thats been consistent with me the last months…
Personally, I came from an Creality K1, which was prone to ugly VFAs. Under 100mm/s they where terrible, so everything high detailed / slow printed was bad. (they fixed it by using smaller pulley wheels on the K1C)
The P2S is MUCH better. Using the 0.2mm high quality preset (60mm/s on outer walls) I don’t see any VFAs. (see attached picture)
Using the 0.2mm standard preset (200mm/s on outer walls) I think VFAs are well controlled. The slightly layer shifting is more noticeable than VFAs, but still a very good quality.
There should be a mechanical issue if you have that bad VFAs, since I don’t have it on my machine.
Does anyone have access to the beta testing section of the forum? Could you check there to see if there’s a description of our problem? Maybe there are ongoing discussions and solutions?
No, i dont see any beta section discuss, but iam writing with the support , they offered me to change the machine , for an new one . Because there was at beginning much issues with it
