Is it possible to use ams (NOT 2pro) with a p2s, because I just want to print multicolor. I don’t need the drying function
Yes, you can use any of the AMS with it, except the AMS lite. You’ll just need the P2S buffer…

I wish this was list as of accessory that you may need to buy if you’re getting the printer without an AMS. This was very hard to find on their web page. I already have two AMS’s didn’t plan on buying any more right now. I never thought to look at the repair parts for something that other places on their web page is listed as an accessory.
im in the same boat. sucks because i have an ams hub. wish they gave us a plug on the back of the printer or at least an adapter OR a freakin option to purchase it with the printer.

I just purchased a P2S and didn’t need the AMS2 Pro so I purchased it without as I don’t want to print Batman’s in 4 colours.
But I’d like to be able of printing special filament which required high temperature drying and the fonctionality of buffer looks for me interesting.
So I purchased a AMS-HT.
When you purchase a P2S NOT Combo, it is clearely written that you will have to add a filament buffer if you want to add an AMS in the future.
So I looked on the BBL site to find the 2/1 buffer but didn’t found it.
But I found it on A-E… and purchased it.
When I received my P2S (2 weeks ago) I installed the buffer prior starting the P2S.
After startup procedure I got an etror message indicating that a certain item has been found without driver.
I made an software/firmware update and everything was fine.
I’m still waiting my AMS-HT (planned for end of the month… but I got yesterday a notification that it will be deliver today…).
So I will be able to test it pretty soon and give you a complete feedback.
To mount the buffer, there is a gummy plug at the rear of the P2S at the place of the buffer.
Remove it slowly and the connector is hold in the plug.

The links correspond to the shop where I purchased the buffer. 
And I paid the same price for Europe.
