Paired but no functions

I would really appreciate some guidance. Absolutely new and inexperienced with these. Built the fork hoist and the truck along with the controller. Used the PC app and had no issue connecting to the Transmitter and Receivers. Dragged them to the appropriate boxes and then paired. All good and everything flashing blue and green. However I have zero functions working. Nothing not a sign of any signal between anything. I tried replacing the transmitter module and it once again as all the other did, first time connecting updated firmware (I think it was firmware do not recall) and loaded project. Not sure how to proceed at this point.

Had identical symptomps and one issue was a faulty 3-pin cable that connects the forklift lights, the other issue was more serious - the microcontroller when placed in the forklift and screwed down was pushing one of those tiny reset/boot buttons. The board was connecting/pairing but nothing worked. when i loosened the screws a little bit to make sure those buttons do not press against the enclosure it started working. I think this is a slight issue with the forklift 3d project. Anyway, let me know if this helped. Good luck :slight_smile:

Did you use the config that came with the model?

You shouldn’t have needed to do anything manually, if you do, you have to configure everything, this is the purpose of the config file, it does the heavy lifting (pun unintended) for you.

New user. I don’t seem to have permissions to create new posts. This seems fairly related so figured I’d +1 this issue and explain my issue.

I’ve assembled two soccer robots + remotes. I installed the Cyberbrick app on Android, paired fine, and tried to install the config on the remote.

I just get an “upgrade firmware version” infinite spinning with a progress bar that never changes. I left it there for like 30 minutes and it did nothing. I downloaded the Windows version of CyberBrick and I’m seeing the same issue…

I’d be willing to try USB-C but I’m not able to connect a USB-C cable to the port in the front of the controller due to the case design…

Any suggestions here?

Finally got everything working.

I had one board whose firmware could not be updated via Bluetooth. I realized I could pull off the mini board with the USB-C port on the front of the controller. I was able to install new firmware on the board via the Windows firmware update tool (though I lost a bunch of time trying to use a power-only A to C cable).

At that point, I was able to upgrade the firmware and install the software and get the remote and bot to pair.

I have some drifting with one of the cars. Maybe I should try tank mode…

Thank you to all that have responded, I am very grateful. I have been overseas hence my lack of earlier reply. I will have a look again at this next weekend and use the various suggestions to see if I can make any progress. Once I have I will update my progress. Once again thanks all appreciate the support.

Bonjour j’ai apparemment les même problèmes que vous. je viens de monter la manette et le chariot. je les ai mis en route, ils sont reconnus via le bluetooh (leds blues sur la manette et le chariot) mais rien ne fonctionne . j’ai les derniers firmware.
avez- vous résolu votre problème ?

Not at this point, however to be honest I have not spend any time on it. Got frustrated and pushed to one side. I have just recently printed a test bench for Cyber Bricks components and intend when time permits to use to hopefully identify where I have gone wrong. I will let you know if I make any progress, and likewise if you do please do let me know.
