Hi everyone,
I recently upgraded from an A1 to the new P2S, and while the machine is a beast, I’m struggling to eliminate a persistent elephant’s foot issue (as seen in the photo).
I was hoping the P2S’s improved thermal management would mitigate this, but I’m still seeing that expansion in the first few layers.
Current Setup:
-
Printer: Bambu Lab P2S
-
Filament: PLA
-
Slicer: Bambu Studio (latest version)
-
Settings: Default P2S Profile
-
Adhesion: Using a 6mm brim and BIQU frostbite
Even with the 6mm brim, the base expansion is still there. Since the P2S handles chamber airflow differently than the A1/P1 series, I’m wondering if I should manually tweak the “Elephant foot compensation” or if there’s a specific trick with the new ventilation system for PLA.
Should I lower the bed temperature after the first layer, or is there a specific flow calibration for the DynaSense extruder that you guys recommend for this?
Thanks in advance for the help!
