PETG-CF issues

I have only had printer for a week and printed pretty good with generic PLA (once I figured out to clean the plate good). Once I switched to Bambu PETG-CF I have had quite a few issues. To make a long story short Why does it print so good when I select the .20 high quality setting that take double the time. Standard stings when doing flat layers. How can I just make it slower for the flat surfaces?

I dried it 12 hours then tried and same so dried another 12 hours and still only works on high quality

Interestingly, if you didn’t touch the settings the top surface speed is the same for standard and high quality with this filament. It’s 150mm/s in bambu studio for high quality and 200mm/s for standard quality - but gets limited to 150mm/s by the max. flowrate of your filament (11.5mm3). So maybe we need some more details / pictures to identify your issue.

Standard speeds are very high for PETG (300mm/s inner wall and 270mm/s infill), especially for PETG-CF. I also got issues with PETG faster than 200mm/s, so I usually max out at 150-200mm/s with any kind of PETG.

2nd 2 are from my last try.

Use the variable layer feature and set each top surface to print as a very fine layer. The variable layer feature (button) is an icon that looks line multiple layers is located on top tool bar. Use it to assign the last couple layers to fine. This will correct rough top surface caused by fiber.
