PETG HF model with PLA supports has PETG stringiness at support interface

tldr; I have dried the filaments. This PLA and PETG HF prints out fine on its own. This uses 2 print heads, so no filament change step. I’m using Bambu’s recommended settings already, including z=0. I’ve done the obvious things; no joy. Looking for ideas on what to try next. Thanks!

  • Detailed description of the problem:

  • 1. on the underside of the PETG HF model, print quality is quite poor; “stringy”.

    1. The top (no supports) looks fine, although it does show some strange holes.

  • Printer model used: HD2; PETG HF on left head, PLA Mat on right head

  • Slicer settings used

Bambu recommended support settings. Printing guide for using PLA Basic and PETG HF/PETG Baisc for support | Bambu Lab Wiki

  • Type of filament used

model: PETG HF (dried in Bambu AMS HT)

supports: PLA Matte (dried in Bambu AMS HT)

I had the same sorts of problems with the default PETG HF profile in bambu ?…i switch to standard profile and it’s print right :person_shrugging:.

And your not obliged to set the raft base in Pla. only the contact surface. you will save a lot of times and nozzle exchanges. :
