PETG-HF or PETG-CF Print Support Question

I am getting ready to print the cover shown below. I plan to most likely print it with PETG-HF or possibly PETG-CF. The print time is approximately 15.5 hours so I would like to get it right the first time. I have little experience using supports with PETG. In the past, I found it hard to remove the support material. There is one rectangular cut-out on this part that needs a support. Are there any settings that need to be tweaked to make this support easy to remove? Do you have any other suggestions as to how to print this to get the best results? Does the PETG-CF supports break off any easier?

Thanks… Richard

Here’s my support settings I use with PETG HF and they come off easier than the factory settings. Depending on the file I will use tree supports hybrid or organic. If it has a lot of big long flat spots that need support I will use normal instead of tree. For what ever reason the Cover file you uploaded isn’t working right now so I can’t see what your file is. I think its a glitch with the forum.

Personally, I usually use PLA as a support interface for PETG. It does drastically increase print time, but it usually gives very good results.

Thanks for your thoughts. I typically just using the stock Bambu setting for PETG-HF with the bed temp increased 5 degrees.

I have not printed any PETG-CF yet, so I don’t know if it is easier to remove the support material.

For what it’s worth, this is an image of the cover installed on the automatic tool changer that I am building. I was thinking of using PETG-CF to make it more rigid with the hope that it would vibrate less when intalled.
